This paper presents a study of the use flow baffles inside centrifugal air classifier. An classifier belongs to most widely used classification devices in mills mineral industry, which is why there great interest optimizing process and pressure loss. Using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), profile without with systematically compared. In simulations, turbulence effects are modeled realizable k–? model, Multiple Reference Frame approach (MRF) represent rotation wheel. The discrete phase model predict collection efficiency. on loss efficiency considered for two operating conditions. addition, comparison experimental data performed. Firstly, simulations experiments show good agreement. Furthermore, investigations that suitable behavior classifier, especially reducing therefore energy costs.
